TrAIcorder finalist at the 2026 AIIC Award for community and proximity healthcare
TrAIcorder was selected as a finalist at the 2026 AIIC Award in the community and proximity healthcare category: a recognition that confirms the project direction toward prevention, screening and easier access to care.
2026 AIIC Award - Community and proximity healthcare
TrAIcorder was selected as a finalist at the 2026 AIIC Award in the category dedicated to community and proximity healthcare, an important recognition for a project designed to bring prevention and screening closer to people.
Being among the finalists of the 2026 AIIC Award is a meaningful signal for us. Not only because of the recognition itself, but because it confirms the direction of the work we are carrying forward: developing non-invasive primary diagnostics tools that can make prevention more accessible in real-life settings.
With TrAIcorder we developed a medical device that enables fast, non-invasive measurement of selected health parameters through a simple video acquisition. A straightforward action for the user, supported by complex technological and clinical work.
rPPG technology, artificial intelligence and clinical validation
TrAIcorder is based on remote photoplethysmography (rPPG), signal analysis and deep neural networks designed to extract physiological information from a video acquisition. The simplicity of the user experience therefore relies on a structured path of development, testing, clinical validation and transformation of the technology into a tool that can be used in practice.
The value of the project lies not only in the measurement itself, but also in the possibility of integrating screening into environments where access to prevention can currently be discontinuous, complex or infrequent.
An additional access point for prevention
TrAIcorder is not designed to replace physicians, but to create an additional channel for screening and initial monitoring, supporting healthcare pathways and professionals.
Community healthcare: bringing screening where it is needed
The community and proximity healthcare category of the AIIC Award is particularly aligned with TrAIcorder's vision. The goal is to make fast, simple and non-invasive tools available in the places where early interception can make a difference: municipalities, pharmacies, companies, prevention events, community clinics and high-participation public settings.
In these scenarios, contactless screening technology can help reduce practical barriers, increase participation in prevention initiatives and support an initial orientation based on data collected quickly and sustainably.
Recognition for teamwork
This result also recognises the work of the team and of everyone who believes in TrAIcorder's journey: technology development, research, validation, dialogue with healthcare professionals and the creation of a model that can truly work across local communities.
The road ahead is still long, but being a finalist at the 2026 AIIC Award confirms that the direction is the right one: prevention that is closer, more accessible and more integrated into people's everyday lives.
